nominations openNominations are called for candidates for election to the Board of Directors for the Casino Returned Servicemens Memorial Club Ltd for the 2018/2020 two year term.

Nominations for election of Directors in accordance with Clause 58 must be lodged with the Secretary Manager of the Company prior to 5:00pm on Friday 31st August 2018.
Nomination forms for the Board of Directors are to be handed to the Secretary Manager of the Company who will check to make sure all necessary requirements on the nomination forms have been completed and are in order.

Being a Club Director can be a rewarding experience and a way to give back to the community.  Directors are not required to pull beers or take a hands-on role in the operations of the Club but they do provide strategic oversight, corporate governance, and planning.

To be considered as a Director you must meet certain legal requirements such as not having a financial interest in a hotel, not having been convicted of certain crimes or being an undischarged bankrupt.  Directors are also required to undertake certain training as required by the Registered Clubs Act, this training will be paid for by the Club.

If you are interested in becoming a Club Director please feel free to call into the Club and have a chat with the Secretary Manager or a current Director.

 

Note if a ballot is required voting will take place in the Club from 1st October 2018 – Saturday 27th October.  Ballot papers will not be posted to members unless on request to the Company Secretary.
